Thoughts on Pesticides, Heavy Metals, and the Location of Hemp Fields

How pure is our cannabis, really?

Recently, we’ve been getting a lot of questions about how pure our grown CBD cannabis actually is, and whether pesticides are used in the cultivation process. Many are also curious about how far our fields are from major highways and paved roads, and whether our hemp tea might contain heavy metals.

Naturally Resilient Cannabis

Cannabis is a unique plant that is naturally equipped with an effective defense system. The resin secreted by its leaves and flowers acts as a natural pesticide, repelling pests and preventing the spread of diseases. This is why conventional pesticides and fungicides are not needed in cannabis cultivation. We grow our cannabis in a pure and natural way, respecting the environment and consumer health.

Risk of Heavy Metals and Environmental Pollution

Cannabis is known for its ability to bind nutrients from the soil, as well as some pollutants, including heavy metals. An interesting fact is that even the soil in Chernobyl was gradually cleaned after the catastrophe by planting hemp. This is why it’s crucial for cannabis to be grown in a clean environment, away from industrial pollution and heavily trafficked roads. Our fields are located between the forests of Põlva County, far from major highways and paved roads, ensuring that our cannabis grows in a pollution-free environment. Additionally, we carry out regular tests to check the purity of both the soil and the plants.

The Importance of Hemp Field Location

When growing plants, location plays a key role. Our hemp fields are located in an area where crop farming has been practiced for decades, away from major roads and city air pollution. This significantly reduces the risk of the plants absorbing pollutants from the surrounding air.

Our goal is to provide consumers with clean, natural cannabis that is responsibly and environmentally friendly. Therefore, you can be confident that our cannabis is of the highest possible quality!
